Xmas Dinner @ Robert Timms Wheelock

We had our Xmas dinner at Robert Timms Wheelock. We ordered one set of Xmas Set Meal and add on ala carte main course for sharing. It's pretty a good deal Sgd 68++ for 3 course meal. The portion was so generous and decandent indulgence.

Vodka Smoked Salmon and Mango'cado Prawn as appertiser

Luxurious combination of fresh prawn laced with smoked salmon and dressed with creamy avocado and laden mango really a great treat starter. 

Stuffed turkey with honey baked ham bottomed with mashed potato and vegetables.

Very generous portion good for sharing.

Braised Stout Kangaroo Loin $26.80

Sis has not try kangaroo meat before, so I ordered this ala carte dish for her to try on. The meat was so tender and never disappoint her.

Sticky pudding with ice cream to end our meal. :-)

Espresso Macchiato $4.80

One shot of espresso macchiato to kick out my stressful day perhaps.

English Breakfast Tea $6

Her all time favourite no matter where she dine. British influenced after a year stay in Great Britain?

Pavlova with Strawberry Ice-cream $11.50

This was so attractive topped with berries coulis disintegrate the meringue crust and accompanied with strawberry ice-cream. The moist marshmallow-like centre was soft and moist in texture was palatable sweet and melodious. 

Lemon Lamington $3.20

The outlook was rather ordinary but this Aussie sponge cake coated with thin lemon icing and dessicated coconut offered an enticing satisafactory.

The zesty lemon curb sandwiched between the light sponge was so delightful with palatable lemon kick.

Chocolate Lamington $3.20

The delish chocolate lamington not overly sweet and good tasting.

Robert Timms is definitely a place for you if you crave for Aussie desserts and coffee with great dining experience.

Squid Ink Pizza @ Skinny Pizza Wheelock Orchard

Yeah! Sis back in Singapore for few days. We had light dinner at Skinny Pizza in Wheelock Orchard for its thinnest dough  and freshness of ingredients.

 

Squid Ink Pizza $25

We had their all time favorite squid ink pizza and it was voted best of the best by Her World. No doubt, the skinniest, crispiest and crackling dough with generous treasure of the sea and rich in green enlightened us lot.. 

Truffle Fries $7

Earthy scent absorbed in skinny fries was a decent kickshaw. 

Kampong Glam Can-can Mocktails $6

Oh my granny mug! This cucumber mocktail with dash of lime juice was refreshingly thirst quenching. 

We are likely to visit Skinny Pizza again and again to try out their scrumptious varieties pizza with great tasting toppings and most importantly their skinniest dough base doesn't expand your stomach.

Australian Lunchie @ The House of Robert Timms Wheelock

As promised, I would bring my besties to have "world's gourmet tour" during their stay in Lion City. Our first station was The House of Robert Timms, the Authentic Australian cuisine.

Prosciutto and Grilled Pineapple Wild Rocket Salad $16

We started with decadent strips of prosciutto coiled up and rested on fresh rocket leaves with grilled pineapple. The dressing from the vinaigrette added sour hit to appetite and tastebud. 

Tuna Cheese and Egg Wrap $12.50

The wrap was toasted till so crispy and enough on it owns. Cut fries were not oily and definitely good bites.

Spicy Chorizo and bacon Spaghetti $18.90

Spaghetti with spicy chorizo and bacon cooked in spicy pomodori sauce. It was tad dry.

Stout Braised Kangaroo Loin $26.80

Hop hop hop meat! Ridiculously tasty. The lean kangaroo meat braised with brown stout sauce lay atop the mashed potato alongside some carrots, zucchinis and eggplant.

Flat White $6.30

An Australian meal is not complete without flat white.

Fish and chips $19.80

The beer battered fish was fried in golden color and garnished with vinegar to ceased the oiliness. Served with tartare sauce and criss cut fries and chilled coleslaw.

Spicy Beef Wrap $14

Wrapped with spicy minced beef, cheddar cheese and lettuce tossed to crisp.

Mexican Quessadilla with Bolognese

Tortillas are packed with bolognese fillings, melted mozzarella cheese and jalapenos. It served with chunky tomato salsa and garnished of mesclun salad tossed in vinaigrette.

Caramel Coffee Supreme

Coated with divine chocolate, caramel ice-cream, coffee parfait and walnut atop vanilla base.

Hop Hop Hop Dinner @ The House of Robert Timms Wheelock

Sundried Tomato and Sopinac Quiche $6
After browsed thru the dessert counter, we decided to have a sliced of quiche to fill our stomach space. The quiche was served warm and the surface was crisp. The taste was quite tad and pungent in smell.

Mixed Mussels and Clams in WSpicy Sauce $18.50

The mussels and clams were served in a deep pan and come with 2 bread sticks. The broth was not really spicy and the aroma revealed the freshness of the stock and the catch. Dip the bread stick into the lip-smacking broth and let it soak up the goodness

Stout Braised Kangaroo $26.80

Hop hop hop.. Yeah first time had this lean and virtually non-fat kangaroo meat. It braised together with chunk vegetables and the butter puff pastries were really good. Hoppilicious~

Coffee Ribs @ O' Coffee Club Wheelock

Mushroom Soup

The mushroom soup was creamy and chunky mushroom added taste wise.

Coffee BBQ Ribs

Their signature dish is coffee BBQ ribs. The sauce was pungent and tasted bitterness of the coffee.

O'Coffee Mega Club $13.50

The portion was big and enough for sharing if you are small eater. This delightful sandwich mixed of classic roasted chicken, smoked salmon and cheddar accompanied with fresh salad and nachos.

Royal Tiramisu $6.90

Royal Tiramisu was topped with fresh blueberries, almond flakes, raspberry and vanilla ice-cream. I don’t really like this dessert because the bottom part was still frozen and the ice-cream is not creamy. Tasted it was stored in the freezer for some period. I will not repeat this in my next visit.

White Chocolate Fantasy

Dark chocolate mousse and pear Chantilly with caramelised pear and pear jelly encased in a white chocolate shell.
